In an effort to encourage local hygiene and dental assisting students, the Santa Clara County Dental Foundation and the Santa Clara County Dental Society today launched their 2021 Scholarship Application process. November 15, 2021 is the deadline to submit your completed application. Recipients will receive scholarships for a minimum of $1000 before the end of the year. The recipients will be chosen in early December.

Students must:

  • Have at least one term remaining in their education plan in 2022
  • Not have received a scholarship from SCCDF/SCCDS before
  • Show commitment to their dental career
  • Commit to staying in the local area to work after graduating¬†

Completion of a fillable application and submission of a copy of their most recent grade transcript and at least two letters of recommendation is also required. A committee of dentist members of the Santa Clara County Dental Society rates applicants on academic success, financial need and passion for their future career and intent to work locally to support office needs in Santa Clara County.
