The Santa Clara County Dental Foundation (SCCDF) is dedicated to promoting improved oral health for Santa Clara County residents. We do this by providing resources and funding for programs operated by volunteer dentists from the Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS).
Since the Foundation’s inception in 2005, volunteers have provided dental services valued at more than $740,000 to local residents who had no other access to much needed dental care. Many of these patients have been referred from the Salvation Army and from the county’s Family Wellness Court. We also work with Next Door: Solutions to Domestic Violence; PRERNA, an organization that assists refugee families resettling here; Red, White and Blue Charities, which assists veterans and others; and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church homeless ministry.
The mission of the Santa Clara County Dental Foundation is to improve oral health by providing resources and collaborating to:
- Improve access to care
- Support SCCDS members in their service to the community
- Promote oral health education
- Work with partners who share our mission
The vision of the Santa Clara County Dental Foundation is to be a relevant partner in the Silicon Valley healthcare arena, having a significant impact in improving oral health.
Please contact us if you are a member dentist who would like to care for these referred patients, or like us on Facebook to learn more or to get involved.
